Team GB IFCS World Qualifiers
Points are allocated as follows:
There will be no points allocated to runs outside of the course time (time faults).
Points are allocated to at least 20% of entries, or to 3rd place, whichever is higher.
Dogs competing at qualifiers throughout the season have the opportunity to gain points toward the IFCS Team GB Qualifiers League. Dogs who top the league for their height category at the end of the season win an automatic place on the squad* (not applicable to '300 Plus' and '400 Plus' dogs who are only eligible to accumulate points).
Additional dogs will be selected from those who've competed in at least one qualifier or try out event, to attend a squad try out day. Invite to the try out will include consideration of the following:
Handling skills (including games skills: Gamblers & Snooker)
The dog’s ability and comfort to jump the required height
Overall performance (including league points accumulated)
Running in at least one qualifier throughout the season
Team Manager: Dawn Weaver
* The win on spot guarantees the dog and handler with the most points a place on the Team GB squad to train and prepare for the Championships. Please note they will subsequently be invited onto the final competing team dependent on meeting the required criteria of speed and accuracy.
All squad members must demonstrate team sprit, support fellow team members, and conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times. The management reserve the right to ask anyone deemed to not be acting in this way to leave the team at any point leading up to or during the Championships.
