Freeway's Agility Break (FAB) Shows run by Dawn Weaver

I believe the Kennel Club, although great in many ways, has too many grades and not enough jump heights so... with great trepidation I am embarking on some new shows of my own. These will be based on what I believe to be the most important aspect of agility - the happiness and welfare of the dogs. Agility is all about dogs - all dogs! The main differences will be:

5 jump heights:
250mm (9.84in): Yorkies, papillons, toy breeds etc all line up for this one!
350mm (1ft 1.75in): Normal small height at KC;
450mm (1ft 5.7in): Normal medium height at KC;
500mm (1ft 7.68in) and 650mm (2ft 1.6in): All large dogs can compete at either of these two heights.

Separate prize-givings and progression for ABC dogs and collie/collie x's.
Safe and more flowing courses but more obstacle discrimination.
Choise of awards - rosettes or presents for the dog.
R&R classes (Retired & Recovering) to include 16-18 month old dogs - choose your own height on the day.
No 'up' contacts marked unless alighting from the side of the obstacle.
Safe courses in adverse weather conditions.
No tight turns into or out of flat tunnels.
Separate progression for Jumping, Agility and Steeplechase classes so good jumping dogs get rewards.
NFC (not for competition) runs allowed.
Bitches in season allowed to compete at the end of the class (but not allowed to wander around ring areas).
